The Surf Rider at Cypress Point which formally stood at the corner of Independence Blvd. and Haygood Rd. in the Haygood Shopping Center was opened December of 1990. After quickly out growing its previous location the Bennett's decided to take three empty units and, for the first time, design and build a restaurant to their specifications. Located in the Cypress Point Shopping Center on the corner of Wesleyen Dr. and Diamond Springs Rd. we are adjacent to the Cypress Point Community, which encompasses the Cypress Point Country Club. We are also seconds away from Lake Wright Golf Course & Motel and Virginia Wesleyen College. Need to catch a plane; the airport is less than five minutes away. You will find us in the shopping center behind Texaco Quick Lube adjacent to our gym (Surf Rider Sports and Coastal Fitness, also on this website).
