This all started back in June of 2006.
Actually I registered the domain name on June 14th 2006. I got the idea for this website while trying to find happy hour information for Virginia Beach bars online. I had no luck! Virginia has particularly strict laws on alcohol, these laws also apply to how bars can display and share their happy hour specials.

Soon after I setup the first website, my friend Gerard came on board to help me out. After that we were off and running. Early on we ran into trouble getting bars to tell us their happy hour specials over the phone. Apparently this is illegal or something. So we were forced to actually go to every bar and get the information!

I remember one particular occasion when Gerard and some friends went on an all day bender happy hour finding mission, getting something like 20 happy hours. I was working that Saturday, which is what I find myself doing most Saturday's, so I got a call from drunk Gerard at about 10 o'clock to be picked up. After that night of debauchery we found ourselves with a pretty substantial list of happy hours.

Well, I'm a little hungover right now, so I'll finish this up later, but you get the idea.
